Union Cabinet approved the proposal of the Ministry of AYUSH on 20.03.2020 operation of 12,500 Health and Wellness Centers under Ayushman Bharat in a phased manner from the year 2019-20 to 2023-24. These AYUSH HWC will be commissioned Through the States / Union Territories in Centrally Sponsored Scheme mode and under the broad umbrella of the National AYUSH Mission (NAM).
Vision to establish a holistic wellness model to reduce the burden of disease out of pocket expenses and provide informed choice to the needy public. Functional integration with existing installation to provide comprehensive care by Using standard protocols, infrastructure upgrades, community mobilization for self Care, sensitivity and capacity building of health care providers, relationship with high-level facilities, AYUSH educational institutions, reputed NGOs and trusts and documentation with the help of IT platform is the highlight of the activities.
